This Grosse Pointe Resident wanted a Master Bedroom with a clean, crisp design that had a quiet sophistication. With soft, hand painted wallpaper and textured neutral carpet, we surrounded ourselves with a neutral palette to work with. In order to maintain the serene environment we were trying to achieve, we kept our colors quiet and brought in interest with textures and the bold but understated black and white floral photography over the nightstands.

This Master Bathroom renovation was designed to be harmonious with the bedroom which we designed at the same time; it was imperative there was a seamless flow from the bedroom, into the bathroom suite which had two distinct areas... the vanity area and the jacuzzi area.
We kept the colors neutral, but added crystal sconces, some crystal hardware and interesting wallpaper for a little drama.

Our goal was a quiet "spa like" retreat for the jacuzzi area of this Master Bathroom Suite. We removed the existing tub that was built in the floor and centered a dramatic tub with a curved mosaic tile front; we removed the two small glass block windows and added one large leaded glass window which gave us light but kept the privacy and used 12*24 marble on the floors and the walls. The oversized French mirror has crystal sconces on either side and it reflects the shaded crystal chandelier that hangs in the center of this room.

This Grosse Pointe family room was quite a design challenge. The homeowner needed a work space in this room and the existing desk felt very clunky; we decided to panel the entire room and build in a desk with bookcases to create a more cohesive, custom finish.
The homeowner also wanted to maintain privacy at night; the existing drapery panels were too heavy and also cut off the beautiful ceiling height. We solved this problem by building out the rear wall and creating a drapery pocket where a motorized roman shade could roll into during the day but could be brought down at night for privacy. We then were able to use silk sheers to the ceiling to accentuate the wonderful height.

This Fireplace is part of a master bedroom renovation that was done in a Balinese style. In order to maintain the minimalist style of Balinese design, we used touch latch hardware on the cabinetry so there was no interruption on the wall from cabinet pulls. The opening of the fireplace was made smaller, the hearth was raised with notched legs and a caramel colored onyx replaced the cold white ceramic tile.

This Master Bathroom renovation began with the desire to create a strong, masculine, bathroom. We used 12 * 24 marble on the floor and shower walls with distressed black cabinets, copper colored glass sinks, hand painted wallpaper and a oversized sconce that separates the two sink stations.

This Bloomfield Hills Master Bedroom renovation took on a life of its own; we were inspired by the fabric we used for the duvet cover. From this fabric we began to explore doing the room with a Balinese influence which we created by using quarter sawn white oak on the pan ceiling, grass cloth on the walls and a woven oversized headboard.
